This policy explains which personal data EduDZ processes and why. The data controller is Mohyiddine Bennaceur (Chlef, Algeria), contact: contact@edudz.net. EduDZ applies Algerian Law 18-07 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data.

1. Data we collect

Account: email address and password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider).

Profile: name, role, wilaya, headline, biography, years of experience, teaching cycles and subjects, profile picture, preferred language.

Verification: the teaching certificate or school approval document you upload. Career: your CV and your 'open to opportunities' choice.

Activity: resources you publish or download, ratings and comments, forum posts and replies, job applications, and messages sent through the Contact page.

2. Why we use it

To run the platform: your account, the lesson bank, the forum and the career board; to verify educators and schools; to keep EduDZ secure and prevent abuse; and to answer your messages. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who can see it

Content on EduDZ is only visible to signed-in members. Your name, picture, role, wilaya and published content are visible to members. Verification documents are only visible to administrators. Your CV is only visible to you, to schools you apply to, and to verified schools if you choose to be discoverable.

4. Service providers

EduDZ relies on technical providers to operate: Supabase (database, file storage and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Expo (mobile app updates) and Cloudflare (domain and email routing). These providers may store data outside Algeria; they process it only to provide their service to EduDZ.

5. Retention

Your data is kept while your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, your profile and personal files are deleted within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep certain information.

6. Your rights

Under Law 18-07 you have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to object to its processing. You can edit most information from your profile, or write to contact@edudz.net. You may also contact the national authority for the protection of personal data (ANPDP).

7. Security and cookies

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is restricted by strict permission rules. EduDZ only uses the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your language; no advertising or tracking cookies.
